The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed a change to our site and domain, following a year long project...today we launch our new look.
Since our company began in 2007, Computer Products Limited has grown and developed steadily away from our original IT reseller model into a fully fledged technical service partner. Although we're incredibly proud of our past and the journey we've been on we feel it's time to alter our trading name and branding to better represent us.
As the nature of our business has evolved from merely supplying computer hardware and components to aiding customers with more complex projects involving all aspects of networking, WiFi and software solutions we wanted to change our name to properly reflect this.
So why Haptic?
The word ‘Haptic’ itself is defined as:
haptic :; (pron 'haptik')/
technical adjective: Relating to the sense of touch, in particular relating to the perception and manipulation of objects using the senses of touch and proprioception.
Haptic feedback is a constantly evolving aspect of technology that focusses on how devices interact directly with humans, this is a perfect metaphor for how we as an organisation assist our clients to embrace new technology whilst acting as another layer of technical support they can engage with.
Listening to our customers has always been crucial to our continued success. Amongst the positive feedback we receive the praise that stands-out is that our customers appreciate how much/little contact we keep. Some of our projects require regular updates, and confirmations, alternatively we have some clients that contact us but once a year.
Haptic therefore not only represents our grasp of technology, but also how we interact with our customers. Maintaining a relationship level that is determined by our clients ensures our interaction remains focussed, informative but above all…helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, we look forward to continuing our story with you. As we edge closer to our 8th year we tilt our hats to you, our customers.
As a privately owned business with no Venture Capital or external investment we rely on you. Without your support and feedback our growth and evolution would not be possible.
Our warmest regards and well wishes for 2015.
Joe Aucott - Managing Director & The Haptic Team.
