Haptic Networks and Google are hosting an event at The Sheffield College next month.
Entitled ‘Google and the Classroom’ the event will take place on Tuesday 29 November at Sheffield College's Hillsborough campus. Interested parties can register using this link.
Members of School Management, Network Managers, and those interested in new developments in the learning environment can attend the event commencing at 4:30 pm.
The interactive event will explore the latest technologies and how they are transforming today’s learning environment. There will also be small group sessions allowing delegates to explore the newly launched Google Expeditions.
Local schools and businesses will have the opportunity to find out how technology is shaping the education system and enhancing the learning experience of students using Google’s extensive range of free apps.
Amongst the speakers, will be James Leonard, Google for Education; Andrew Caffrey, Assistant Headteacher at The Streetly Academy; Dean Stokes, a leading expert on Google for Education; and, Graeme Hathaway, Assistant Principal Learning Improvement and Innovation, The Sheffield College. Haptic Networks, a Google for Education Partner and specialist in Cloud Technologies in Education, will also be present to advise on how best to set up a G Suite for Education Trial and the staged implementation of Google's full range of solutions.
Attendees will get a unique insight into Google’s vision for bringing affordable technology to every student, the money saving opportunities this new technology presents, and obtain advice on the best ways to implement a Google for Education strategy.
James Leonard will be talking about Google’s latest innovations, Haptic Networks will showcase practical ways to apply robust Cloud technologies and how to plan a Google journey, whilst Andrew Caffrey, Dean Stokes, and Graeme Hathaway will be on-hand to give practical guidance on how best to implement Google in the Classroom.
